State of Jefferson
The State of Jefferson was proposed as a US state in 1941 that would span the contiguous, mostly rural area of southern Oregon and northern California.
Fair Representation in Stanislaus County and other rural counties can be achieved through the formation of a new US State via the Article Four process of the US Constitution. Jefferson would join Maine, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Vermont as the latest new state formed out of an existing state. We need your help to succeed! This is truly grassroots.
